Description

Giller is the second song I ever wrote in the style of the Sacred Harp. (The first was called Taplin. I have no idea where it is. It was really bad.) Looking back, this song was heavily influenced by Denson-style fuging tunes and 361 Loving Jesus.

Text

Jesus, and shall it ever be,
A mortal man, ashamed of Thee?
Ashamed of Thee, whom angels praise,
Whose glories shine through endless days?
