God reigneth in glory, yet dwells with a child,
Whose prayer He delighteth to hear;
Tho' heaven with beings immortal is fill'd,
He makes e'en the sparrow His care.
The sun, at His word, rolls in light thro' the sky,
The moon He sends forth for the night,
While stars without number are twinkling on high,
But man is His greater delight.
