This is set in 7 shapes. The text is my own rendering of part of Jeremiah 17:5-8. There's a little bit of inspiration from 'Judkins' (111b in The Christian Harmony, 2010).

I originally wrote this tune for another hymn text but it is both copyrighted and heretical.

Curs'd is the man who trusts in man
And maketh flesh his strength,
Who, like a bush in burning heat,
Shall have no goodness sent.

But make the Lord your only trust:
The Lord dispels our doubt;
A tree, when planted by the stream
Fears not the coming drought.
