Description

Written in Troy, NY on July 23, 2009 and named for a neighborhood in my home town of Newton, MA. Written without a text in mind, but set to Wesley's "O for a thousand tongues to sing..." on August 27 of the same year.

Sung in 2010 at the New Compositions Singing at the Western Massachusetts Sacred Harp Singing Convention.

Published in The Trumpet (volume 1, number 2).

Text

O for a thousand tongues to sing
My great Redeemer’s praise,
The glories of my God and King,
The triumphs of His grace!
My gracious Master and my God,
Assist me to proclaim,
To spread through all the earth abroad
The honors of Thy name.
