By Aldo Thomas Ceresa
An F major fuging tune in 4/4 time. Composed 2012.
Text from Charles Wesley, 1763.
Listen to recordings:
This tune was written for the Polish Sacred Harp singers to commemorate their first-ever Sacred Harp convention in September, 2012. It was sung at the 2012 Cork Alternate Sources Singing in October, 2012, and has been sung in Warsaw, London, and elsewhere. Warsaw was also performed by The Art Mob in their Winter, 2012 concerts.
Come, let us join with one accord;
In hymns of praise we stand before the throne;
This is the day our risen Lord
Hath made and called His own.
Then let us in His name sing on,
And hasten to that bright and glorious day
When our Redeemer shall come down,
And shadows pass away.
