Description

Celesteon has been sung at the 2007 and 2008 Berkshire Foothills Composiums, the 2008 WMSHC Composium, and by The Art Mob in their Spring, 2008 concerts. The title is an invented word, meant to convey the idea of voices raised in harmony as a "heavenly instrument."

Text

Let ev’ry creature join
To praise th’eternal God;
Ye heav’nly hosts, the song begin,
And sound his name abroad.

Thou sun with golden beams,
And moon with paler rays,
Ye starry lights, ye twinkling flames,
Shine to your maker's praise

From mountains to the sky
Let his high praise resound,
From humble shrubs and cedars high,
And vales and fields around.

Far as thy name is known,
The world declares thy praise;
Thy saints, O Lord, before thy throne
Their songs of honour raise.
